Here are some recordings of the radio team Charles Correll and Freeman Gosden playing Sam 'n Henry on WGN radio in Chicago 1926-1927. It was a very popular show.

In 1927, WMAQ in New York offered these guys a better job so they packed up their bags and moved to New York. They wanted to take the Sam 'n Henry show with them, but WGN figured they owned that show, so Correll and Gosden started their own new radio program along the same lines called Amos 'n Andy, and the rest is history.

I guess this is a little pre-history. Enjoy!
