Jelly Roll Morton recorded over 8 hours of material specifically for the Library of Congress in 1938. In 1947, CIRCLE record label published a limited edition 45 record set in 12 albums with those historic recordings. There were about 350 of these sets made. The 10 albums shown here are all from set No. 327, the latest numbered set known. Unfortunately, albums V & VI are missing, but the remaining 76 sides are present and in very nice condition. The albums are somewhat tattered but the records are in great shape.
